Japanese-American Internment

At the start of the Pacific War, all Japanese-Americans were detained in isolated camps in the American West. The U.S. government did this because they thought Japanese-Americans were "potentially dangerous and disloyal." In retrospect, the U.S. government said they did it because of racism and mass hysteria, and have apologized for detaining Japanese-Americans.
